Heartbeat is a wearable electronic pendant. The project (Avatar) will be a collection of pendants.

I’m working on some interactive effects and these prototypes are a platform for that. I’m also doing a variety of experiments with materials, construction, optics and other aspects. On the fabrication side I’m using arduino pro minis and a new technique for me called wire wrap (and a bit of soldering). I think this technique is way undervalued and I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes back into fashion.

It’s is a different approach than Firefly wearable which monitored social activity and displayed lights and vignettes reflecting that. Also different than Firefly V2 which adds some gaming aspect but has no color.
