I’ve got this cute little cnc3018. It’s portable so has potential for PR for CNCs in general. I decided to try an experiment with dust control.

It came out great. I made three parts from cardboard. A base which folds up to make sides. A back plate that interlocks the whole thing together then a removable front cover.

I’m really pleased because everything settles in the box. Not a sign of mess anywhere.

Improvements to come are a top piece to catch airborne dust and also to make this from chloroplast.

I will make a 6040 version of this. The catch with those machines is the moving gantry. The box can’t have the stepper poking through.
