I was able to successfully reface this trophy that was wrongly engraved.

I used a 1/8″, 1 flute, upcut, 5000rpm, 6ipm. The two types of tool marks are with 70% and 50% step-over. I did the 50% pass in one direction. I then sanded from 2400 to 3600 grit. I think if I did it again I’d go to a higher grit and perhaps start lower like around 1000…
