Here’s a cool way to make spin art! Pictures of the apparatus further down.

Wire a computer fan to a power source. Make sure the power source voltage is less than the voltage requirement of the fan. We used a lab supply so we can dial in any voltage we want.

Hot glue the fan to the bottom of a box and tape the wires out of the way. Hot glue a chunk of wood or cardboard to the fan hub. Spin it up and find the center with a marker. Then hot glue a CD to the center.

Hot glue a piece of stiff paper to the CD. You’ll be able to tear it off easy if you don’t use too much glue.
