Twelfth Internet of Things Ottawa Meetup! Tuesday, May 20, 6:30pm, 80 Aberdeen St,. Sign up. Martin Cloake from Machine Telemetry will be the speaker at the Twelfth Internet of Things Ottawa meetup. Studies from Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, McKinsey, Gartner, Forrester and other companies are showing tremendous growth in IoT applications and one of the most promising areas is the industrial Internet. Come listen to someone with first-hand experience providing IoT solutions in industrial settings.

OPL Saturday, June 14th, 1pm. We had such fun at the library on Saturday, June 7th (with 7 people plus the 10 or so from the library event were around) so let’s do it again! There is an Arduino event at the library that is already fully booked. So lets do our hangout by the window near Imagine Space at the Centrepointe Library so we can get the chance to meet more Arduino-y people. Email me for further details.

Algonquin College, Sunday, June 15th, 1pm. We will be having an informal hangout so bring your projects. Beginners welcome! If you don’t have any hardware, contact me and I will bring something. Location: E Building beside Star Bucks in main room, free parking in lot 8 which is beside E Building.

Nexus Meetup, Monday, June 16th. They are doing a meetup tonight. It might be worth going to that.

Artengine field trip, Wednesday, June 18th, 7pm. If you’re interested in Arduino you should attend Artengine’s open house called ModLab. It’s at room M70 at 2 Daly Avenue and usually has people that are interested in Arduino and many other things!

University of Ottawa Makerspace, Sunday, September 7th, 12 noon or so. It is a new Hackapsce which is apparently open to the public on Sundays. So let’s go check it out. Come to learn Arduino, see other people’s cool projects and get help started on your project. If you don’t have a project we will have some fun suggestions for great starter projects. Please register at the links above! If you have your own arduino hardware and laptop please bring it! If not, feel free to come to any of our meetups to discuss what hardware you need and to get support buying it.

University of Ottawa Makerspace, Sunday, September 14th, 12 noon or so. It is a new Hackspace which is open to the public on Sundays so lets have a meetup there. They have CNC cutters and 3D printers.  They have a free wifi.

Come with a project or come just for social and to see what’s going on.
